Black nylon bungee replacement and washers for the SAKA® and Foldable SAKA®
Designed to fit the inside diameter (4.5mm) of the specially made double tube.
Approximately 70 inches in length and 4.0-4.2mm in diameter, black in color, Nylon cover with multi-strand elastic core. Comes with 2 #8 stainless steel washers. (Used next to the stopper knot tied to prevent the bungee from pulling into the 4.5mm inside diameter tubes)
Both the white and black bungee are designed and made specifically for the SAKA® and Foldable SAKA® both are designed for maximum stretch. The white bungee has a Dyneema cover and solid elastic core. The white Dyneema is strong but comes to a 'hard' stop at the end of the stretch. The black bungee has a Nylon cover that lends itself to a softer stop when the end of travel is reached. This effectively makes for a smoother travel. The black bungee is also slightly stronger for a quicker rebound.
Current versions of the SAKAs come with the black Nylon bungee installed and an additional approximate 5' length of replacement bungee.
